How should broaches be packaged for shipment?

Broaches should be shipped in wood, metal, or stiff corrugated cardboard packaging with wooden or thick plastic ends. All surfaces that contact the broach should be covered in a soft and durable material, such as wood, plastic, rubber, or dense cardboard product. The broach tools should be packed tightly to ensure no movement of the broach tool within the packaging or box. Dunnage (filling) should be used to fill all spaces within the packaging or box. Structural sections within a box should be used to contain the broach from moving. The packaging should be water resistant or waterproof. The broach tools should be coated in a rust inhibitor and wrapped in a vapor barrier material, like VCI paper.
